The other half: earn from what you already own

Listing is free. You set your own daily rate and your own refundable deposit above our minimum, and you approve every booking before it happens — the drill in your cupboard does not need to be idle 51 weekends a year.

You never pay to list. Our 20% owner fee comes out of your payout rather than your pocket, and that payout is released once the item is safely back. Renters pay their own service fee at checkout — both are shown in full before anyone confirms a booking.

How does BRWD work?
BRWD connects people who have items to rent with people who need them. Browse listings near you, request the dates you want, pay securely in the app, and meet the owner for handover. Every listing carries a refundable deposit, which BRWD secures before the item is handed over. When you're done, return the item and leave a review.
What can I rent or list?
Almost anything! Power tools, cleaning equipment, camping gear, electronics, party supplies, sports equipment, and much more. Items must be in good working condition and legal to rent.
How much does it cost?
Listing items is free. Paid rentals include a 20% borrower fee at checkout, and BRWD retains 20% from the owner's payout after successful return. Those fees fund secure payments, trust infrastructure, support, and the Lender Guarantee. Owners set their own rental price and their refundable deposit, which must be at least 20% of the item's value (25% from €500, 30% from €1,000).
Is my item protected?
BRWD combines identity verification, secure in-app payments, and a refundable deposit on every paid listing, secured before handover. The deposit is the first layer of protection and is used first. If a verified claim exceeds the deposit, BRWD may cover the remainder under the Lender Guarantee at our discretion — a discretionary programme, not insurance, and subject to exclusions.
What if I return an item late?
There's a 12-hour grace period after your rental ends. After that, late fees of 150% of the daily rate are charged per day, automatically to your saved payment method. Late fees apply for up to 7 days. If you need more time, contact the owner to extend your booking!
How do I get paid as an owner?
Booking payments are processed through Stripe. BRWD releases the owner's payout after the rental is safely returned, and any refundable deposit is released back to the renter at the same point unless there is a verified claim. Payouts typically arrive within 2-3 business days after release.
